i hadn’t seen this wikipage either…oh, the joy of vinyl nerd-dom!
one of my favorite oddities is a red, heart-shaped 7-inch vinyl by mayer hawthorne. the record, “just ain’t gonna work out,” is a new, limited release on stones throw (only 1000 copies….) some linkage:

an aside: i’m fascinated by the resurgence of vinyl and the inclusion of mp3 download cards in vinyl sleeves (tvotr’s “dear science” is a recent example). plus, i’ve noticed all these hip new turntables (many of them portable and/or USB-ready) at record stores, random catalogs, and even at boutiques like urban-0utfitters. looking forward to chatting with you about this at un-music/harvard next march. happy holidays!
