I never get tired of that joke.
I’m off to Germany later today. I will return in a week, hopefully having found something “really cool” for Carrie while on my journey.

Skylar loves that joke too. It’s true, as per the Wikipedia entry, that saying “Ich bin ein Berliner” in Berlin when JFK did was not to say “I’m a jelly doughnut.” But numerous German kids — not in Berlin, mind you — made amused reference to his “slip” when I was an exchange student there. It has become a joke over time, in other words.
I’m sending you an e-mail with a special German bookstore request, BTW.
Oh, I can put it here too, I guess. Here’s the link. There are two “cyberpunk” novels by Myra Çakan, a woman of Turkish descent, that I’m rather desperate to get a hold of. I’ll arrange to have them flown by owl from Montreal to Tucson, naturally.
Please fart or throw something down from the sky as you pass over Paris. We miss you. Drink a mas beer for us and have a great time!
